Like all outdoor sports, sailing requires practical training and skill. However, one of the biggest features that distinguishes sailing from other outdoor sports is that it also involves a great deal of theoretical and scientific knowledge, and this theoretical knowledge is vital during sailing. From correctly reading navigation lights to the physical structure of the sailboat and engine maintenance, many theoretical topics make up a large part of our training.
Thanks to our online courses, you can complete your theoretical lessons before attending our weekly classes, allowing you to dedicate more time to practical training.
How come?
In this program, which covers the fundamental topics of Sailing Yachting 1, 2, and 3, we use two main methods;
1. Online Theoretical Trainings
These trainings are conducted via video conference, with live broadcasts of theoretical lectures. Online meetings take place at a predetermined time and date, during which you will receive supporting documents, videos, and animations for the topics covered. You will also receive the textbooks we use in our weekly courses (written by us) as PDFs. These lessons are held twice a week, with approximately two-hour broadcasts.
2. Online Interactive Trainings
After the theoretical part is completed, we will demonstrate and apply the concepts for you in practice, while you can follow us live via stream and ask your questions. We conduct these practices both on the boat and on the map. This way, instead of just watching videos, you can experience and observe the events moment by moment. You can also communicate with the instructor during this time.
What topics are covered ?
The theoretical and interactive topics we have selected for Sailing Yachting 1, 2 and 3 are as follows:
On which days do the trainings take place?
Our theoretical training sessions will take place three days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while interactive training sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The theoretical topics for each level will be divided into two live broadcast sessions, each lasting 1.5-2 hours.
For interactive topics, interactive exercises will take place in 2-hour sessions on the designated day.
How do I register and what is the price?
To register, simply select the level you wish to attend and let us know your request. After this, you will receive the date, time, and password for the live stream, along with the necessary documents. The online class fee is 780 TL per level.
This payment will also count as a prepayment for our weekly courses with accommodation. You can use it on any date you wish within one year.
